April 03, 2002 BONES Comic Commentary:
It's been pointed out that this is similar to
a Farside strip from around the same time. I did
draw a lot of inspiration from Gary Larson's work,
and even re-drew some of his ideas, but to the best
of my knowledge I seperated them all out and didn't
directly steal this. I may have been influenced on
a subconcious level, but at the same time this strip
goes right to the heart of what I'm portraying in
my comics- silly irony. Well, that and really puns,
but this one doesn't fall into that category. :) |
